Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Cole Sinclair
Class: 2022
Committed to: New Orleans

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'It's fair to say that Sinclair's ridiculous numbers from last season did not receive enough attention from the general masses'especially as a shooting threat. Granted, he's more of a combo-guard with the ability to shoot rather than a sheer spot-up threat. Of everyone listed, Sinclair displays the least movement within his mechanics, mixes it up a ton off the catch and dribble, and averaged more points (21.5 PPG) with a higher three-point percentage (44%) than a vast majority of the state. His transfer and pending post-grad season at Winston-Salem Christian should only make him more coveted by college coaches.'

'2022 Cole Sinclair for the Durham Hurricanes put on a show throughout the four days in Rock Hill.  He looked like a man on a mission and put his team on his back, as he had memorable performance after memorable performance. In the games that he played, Sinclair had scoring outputs of 40, 31, 34, 36, 41, 20, and 35, ending his weekend averaging 34 points per game.  He did in all ways on the floor, knocking down outside shots, hitting multiple threes and showing his range, creating for himself off the dribble, penetrating the defense and finishing strong/through contact, and got to the line.   Now doing a post-grad year at Winston Salem Christian, Sinclair put people on notice this weekend at the Summer Havoc and college coaches should be paying attention.'

'While Harris' situation is well-documented at this point, Sinclair is another noteworthy prospect who should absolutely have more attention from college coaches. There's no doubting his leadership and production, yet one thing always seems to come to mind regarding the sturdy guard: three-point shooting. For anyone who has watched Sinclair throughout his progression should already know that he's an elite shooting threat'both off the catch and bounce. He's capable of initiating offense and setting up others, but seems to overwhelm opponents more with his nonstop flurry of perimeter jumpers. As the Cavaliers' leading scorer, Sinclair is averaging 23.3 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 1.0 SPG while shooting an insane 63% from three-point territory. At this point, his recruitment should be beginning to take off. Sinclair's IQ and effortless shooting ability should make him an appealing asset to all types of programs, which should start to resonate sooner than later for scholarship-holding coaches.'
