What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Given the way things were trending two summers ago, it’s incredibly surprising to see Jakwon Moore’s name on this list. That being said, he’s played extremely well since joining New Life Christian. Moore is a strong, powerful, physically overwhelming wing prospect with great size, athleticism, and toughness on both ends of the floor. He thrives in transition and displays the ability to consistently get downhill with the ball in his hands. Moore is a useful defender and quality rebounder for his position. He’s a willing passing with the ability to assume playmaking duties as needed. Moore is an imposing defender who knows how to utilize his length and sharp instincts to force turnovers. It goes without saying, but he should have more opportunities from next-level programs.”

“After recently transferring to New Life Christian and reestablishing himself as a focal point, Moore should appeal to a variety of schools. He’s a strong, athletic wing prospect with size, toughness, and shot-making ability. Moore prefers to get downhill and challenge opponents at the rim whenever possible, but possesses the necessary creation skills and spot-up ability to assert himself from midrange or beyond the arc. He’s great in transition, both with and without the ball, and looks to capitalize on fast breaks whenever possible. The new-look situation could certainly pay dividends for Moore, so college coaches should be watching closely.”

““When size and skill meet power and athleticism, you’ll find someone like Moore—who has arguably developed as much as anyone since the start of his high school journey. He’s a respectable perimeter shooter with exceptional finishing ability as a penetrator or off-ball cutter. Moore is a tough, physical two-way wing who plays hard, utilizes his body, and can capably fill in the gaps or expand his production as needed. He’s a positive defender and rebounder with the versatility to contain guards, wings, and some forwards. Though it’s somewhat expected, Moore simply produces and finds a way to stand out as a productive all-around piece in seemingly every possible setting.”
