Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Chris Britt
Class: 2022
Committed to: Anderson

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Starting things off, we look at a player that continually stands out with his sharp, quick, aggressive scoring prowess, Chris Britt. He’s a tough, heady lead guard prospect with the ability to reliably and effortlessly create quality shots out of little to nothing. Britt is excellent at blowing by his man and finishing around the basket or converting his incredibly lethal midrange pull-up. He’s a capable playmaker and great on-ball defender with the tools and understanding to force on-ball turnovers with regularity. Next in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would allow him to play alongside another primary ball-handler with relative ease. Coach Baker on Britt: “Chris is a great kid that plays hard and shows a willingness to compete on both ends of the floor. He showed his ability as a true point guard during camp but also displayed a great jumper. Chris has a high IQ!” Britt proved to be an asset during camp and should continue to stand out as a consistently productive piece for Gaston Day going forward.” – NC Top 80

“Britt is very quick with a very crafty handle and good footwork as he gets downhill. He has a good feel for the game and he sees the court and does a good job finding his teammates in their comfort areas. As Britt continues to progress his ability to stay under control his game will only grow. He has sound shooting mechanics and a very tight handle for his age. Chris Britt has a very bright future as a lead guard.” – NC Phenom 150 in 2017

“Chris Britt played a tremendous floor game at the point guard position. He had a near double-double, finishing with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. The unsigned senior commanded the game and made great decisions with the ball with a 9:2 assist to turnover ratio on the night. Britt made a living getting into the paint and finding the open man. He also was able to finish at the end of drives and knock down the midrange jumper. In addition, at the end of the game, he was automatic from the foul line. That’s a winning point guard; someone who takes care of the basketball and finishes games at the line.” – Game Report in 2022
