Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jason Asemota
Class: 2024
Committed to: Baylor

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Asemota came in as one of the premier headliners for the event, as the nationally ranked 5-star had all eyes on him and he performed extremely well.  With this being our first viewing of the 6'9 prospect, one could see why he was so highly regarded in his class and could even rise up the ranks even more.  Asemota though showed it all; whether it was his athleticism, his ability to create for himself, rise up over defenders from multiple levels, be a presence on the defensive end and on the boards, or simply be a playmaker, he has all the tools that college coaches would love to have.  He plays unselfish on the floor but you can see that he could turn it on and be one of the top prolific scorers in the country.'

'We know he made our standout list on Day 1 but Asemota's performance and showing on Day 5 was even more impressive, as he was putting on a show in front of big-time programs.  The 6'9 prospect moves and operates like a guard at times, getting to whatever spot he wants on the floor, showing his range and big-time shot-making ability, and his relentless motor on the court. When dialed in, there aren't many that are going to slow him down, as he can score however he wants on the floor.'

'It was our first viewing of the 5-star prospect and it can easily be seen why he is regarded as one of the premier prospects in the country. At 6'9, he brings such a tremendous skillset to the table; he really showcased his ability to create his own shot and score over defenders well.  But he also is incredibly versatile, long, and athletic as a prospect as well.  Really enjoyed watching his presence on both ends, as he can be used in so many ways on the floor.'
