Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jamison Graves
Class: 2023
Committed to: Averett

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Graves really impressed our scouts today, especially with his overall impact on the floor. He filled up the stat sheet, competed on both ends and was able to be effective on the boards and set up others.  However, he still was a tough matchup with his quickness and ability to get into the paint, as he also showed his scoring impact.'

'Given everything he's accomplished during his high school career, it's surprising that Jamison Graves doesn't already have a landing spot at the next level. Either way, he should be a definite leader for this group. Graves is a smart, tough, athletic lead guard with an unselfish approach and the understanding of how to naturally set the tone on both ends of the floor. He possesses great quickness and open-floor speed, which makes him a constant threat in transition, but also displays poise and polish in the half-court. Graves is a reliable defender with quality anticipation instincts for forcing turnovers and pushing the break. He's a well-rounded offensive threat and useful rebounder who utilizes his motor to consistently outwork others.'

'Although it would be difficult to point directly at the Phoenix's 'best' player (due to having so much balance within their structure), they simply aren't in this game without Graves' massive offensive output. He's a tough, quick guard prospect with the ability to create for himself or find opportunities as an off-ball threat. Graves scored in a variety of ways, from attacking the basket to hitting pull-up jumpers to knocking down shots off the catch. He proved to be an effective ball-handler and understands how to make a consistent impact defensively. Graves stood out as a definite leader and difference-maker for this group.'
