Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Phenom: What made UNCG the place for you in the end'
Williams: They stuck with me and always kept in touch with me since they started recruiting me and they believed in me through this whole process and its not far from home.
Phenom: You recently got an offer from the staff. What kind of relationship did you build with them so quickly'
Williams: It was an immediate connection with the coaching staff from Day 1. They told me what they needed out of me and I was ready to come in and produce just that for the team.
Phenom: How did you inform the staff and what did they have to say when you told them' How do you think you can fit into their system'
Williams: I told the head coach and assistant coach on the phone that it was time for me to make my decision and I was ready to commit to UNCG and get to work. They said, 'Man, you had me sweating bullets, I thought you were going to tell me something different.' I said, 'Nope coach, I'm coming to UNCG.'
I think I can fit perfectly in their system. They told me they were missing that shooting piece and someone who can come in and help the team win and I fit that role perfectly.
Phenom: What are you hoping to bring with your game to the program'
Williams: I'm hoping to bring a winning culture and just be a team player that my teammates want to be around and most definitely a national championship.
