Phenom: What made UNCW the place for you in the end' What all went into your decision'
Silver: I have always liked Wilmington. They started recruiting me last year. I had a lot of good conversations with them over time. Went to a couple of games and was able to visit during midnight madness last year. They still offered me even when I had been injured; that meant a lot. They saw my strengths and talked to me about how I could help the team.
Phenom: What kind of relationship did you build with that staff and what did it mean to you' Who was your main recruiter as well'
Silver: I built a really strong relationship with the staff. Coach Asia was a good supporter and came to my high school games. Coach Tina is the coach that is going to teach you and explain things so you can use it. They both encourage their players, and they have that family atmosphere.
Phenom: What do you think you can bring to that program with your game'
Silver: They have some really good guards. I hope to bring my defense and help crash the boards on both ends of the court. I want to continue to improve on my outside shot to help open up the offense for the team. And drive and attack to either find my teammate or score.
Phenom: What is going to be your focus now with your commitment behind you'
Silver: I want to focus on having a fun senior year and being able to play with my little sister this year. She is my heart. I still have other goals I want to accomplish on the court.
