Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Jordan Marsh
Class: 2023
Committed to: George Mason
What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:
“It had been some time since seeing Marsh in action but he was back in North Carolina with Phenom Hoops and he was the leader on Day 2 for his team. Marsh is a very explosive, quick guard on the floor, especially when he is looking to attack in transition and get downhill. It was hard to find anyone that was able to stay in front of him, creating off the dribble, penetrating and kicking, and finding ways to score effectively. Marsh also had a nice showing on the defensive end at times.”
“After spending a season at Oak Hill and now emerging as a focal point for Moravian Prep, folks would naturally expect Jordan Marsh to have more scholarships than his current offer sheet. He’s a tough, dynamic, well-rounded lead guard prospect with a quality balance between scoring and playmaking. Marsh is quick and athletic, which makes him a difficult matchup at the point of attack for most opposing point guards. He breaks down opponents with ease, touches the paint, and finishes or sets up teammates in scoring positions. Marsh is a scrappy defender with quality instincts and the ability to physically overwhelm opponents. He’s also a useful perimeter shooter who mixes it up at a healthy rate offensively. Marsh rebounds well for his size/position and knows how to excel in transition with the ball in his hands. Like the others listed, there is no real reason for Marsh to be anything other than a priority for an abundance of college programs.”
“Marsh finds his name on the list again… This is simply a senior guard that should be getting the attention of so many with his play and it looks like he is on a mission to do so. Filling up the stat sheet, showing how electric he can be with the ball in his hands, and his ability to get by defenders to score. Another great showing from him, as he has been consistent throughout the entire event.”
“Marsh is a name we continue to bring up and with his recruitment, he should be considered underrated. One of the quickest guards in the region, an elite first step to get by defenders, has terrific handles, and can surprise you with how athletic he is. Filled it up much like he has done so all season long.”
“He’s shown some improvements as a three-point shooter, but has still clearly maintained his identity as a tough, rugged, athletic downhill lead guard with the ability to fill it up offensively. Marsh is excellent at getting downhill, attacking the teeth of the defense, and applying pressure at the rim. He’s a crafty ball-handler who can finish below or above the rim with relative ease. Marsh displays great feel, change of direction, and overall body control when looking to attack. He’s a useful passer who understands how to locate the open man at a solid rate. Marsh is also a pesky defender with the necessary blend of quickness, toughness, and general instincts to overwhelm his assignment on both ends of the floor.”
