Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jordan Davis
Class: 2023
Committed to: Geneva College

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Since he's somewhat of a natural glue-guy, Davis frequently showcases his ability to do everything on the court. He's a smart, well-rounded guard who can efficiently score the ball from all levels, assume playmaking duties, and make his presence felt as a defender and rebounder. Davis is an excellent teammate who truly adapts to whatever the team needs on both ends of the floor. He's a great leader by example and someone who looks to make the right play at every possible opportunity.'

'We've spoken about his well-rounded game and natural identity as a glue-guy, but it can often be overlooked because of his willingness to be an incredible teammate. Specifically during his time with the NC Spartans, Davis was typically the first guy who would pass up a good look for a great one. He generally doesn't care who scores as long as it's putting his team in a position to win. Davis can (and will) adapt to any role for the betterment of the team. For his size and position, he does everything at a quality level. Davis can dictate the offense, create for himself or others, outwork opponents defensively or for extra possessions, and consistently finds success with or without the ball in his hands. He's a reliable defender and rebounder with no glaring weaknesses on either end of the floor. Davis is simply a great player and someone who should be an asset at the next level.'

'In many ways, Davis stood out as a glue-guy for this squad. He's somewhat unassuming at first glance, but his natural feel and all-around production continually reaffirmed his value. Davis is comfortable finding opportunities in every possible context'regardless of situation or surrounding teammates. He's a quality shooter and passer with rebounding prowess and flashes of defensive versatility. Davis naturally affects the action on both ends of the floor.'

'Similar to the entry above, we've seen Davis countless times with the NC Spartans but this was our first real viewing with East Surry. While he clearly carries more responsibility with this group, his identity and approach are largely the same. Davis is a smart, well-rounded wing prospect with a natural understanding of how to affect all facets of the game as a leader or glue-guy. He can reliably pass, handle, shoot, and create off the bounce, but also shows emphasis on making hustle plays and doing the little things. Davis leads by example, especially with this group, and was the Cardinals' most productive piece in each showing. He is a college-level player.'

'Given the subtlety of his identity, Davis can often be overlooked despite his impressive production and on-court abilities. He's a natural glue-guy who can apply efficient, yet seemingly nonstop scoring pressure from all three levels. Davis possesses a really polished offensive arsenal with the instincts to spot-up, move without the ball, or create for himself or others. He attacks the basket, hits midrange pull-ups, and offers a lethal presence from beyond the arc. Davis is simply a reliable two-way player who consistently affects all facets of the game.'
