Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Gavin Bullock
Class: 2023
Committed to: Lees-McRae

What Was Said:

'He's a versatile, well-rounded wing/forward prospect who defends multiple positions, rebounds like a big man, and possesses the skill of a perimeter player. Bullock plays hard and displays an incredibly unselfish, adaptable game on both ends of the floor. He consistently takes a lesser role for the betterment of the team, but can reliably expand his production whenever necessary. Bullock naturally does a little bit of everything on the court, but doesn't really require the ball in order to make a lasting impact. He's an extremely team-oriented player who knows how to fill in the gaps and consistently position himself for success. Bullock battles for extra possessions, does the dirty work, and always looks to make the right play.'

'Bullock is another player that is underrated for what he does and college programs need to recognize. For him playing multiple positions on the floor, this is a young man that competes and has some shiftiness to his game. He can hurt you in so many ways inside and out, plays bigger than listed, and plays with so much heart.  Such a competitor on the floor that does so much for his team.'

'While each player on this team brings value, one could argue that Bullock is a huge x-factor for the overall success of this group. He's a tough, versatile, high-motor piece who is probably the closest thing to a position-less player in public school basketball. Bullock defends traditional bigs incredibly well, makes his presence felt on the glass, and causes matchup problems with his overall skill level. His IQ and discipline make him such a reliable cog.'

'Bullock is your blue-collar 'lunch pail' type of player. He has maximized his game with hard work, effort and a willingness to get better every outing. Bullock is the perfect complement to the backcourt trio of Carson and Chase Daniel and Jaiden Thompson. The foursome have a unique bond and chemistry that is difficult to emulate on the court.'
