Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Evan Ashe
Class: 2023
Committed to: Binghamton

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Ashe came up big for his team in the second half, scoring 19 of his 23 points. He continues to show how explosive he can be on the floor, getting to the rim and finishing strong, embracing contact, and getting to the line. Ashe continues to be one that is flying a little under the radar but with his athleticism and ability to get downhill, he can be tough to guard.”

“Ashe is simply one of those guards that continues to produce in an array of ways but still flies under the radar at times in NC.  Yes, he brings terrific athleticism to the floor but he was showing more of his outside game, knocking down three’s with a ton of confidence as well.  Strong showing before starting the high school season.”

“Although Lucas Taylor is the clear leader of this team, Ashe is as vital to their success as anyone on the roster. He simply plays a complete, low-maintenance game on both ends of the floor and willingly fills in the gaps in a variety of different ways. Ashe rebounds, defends multiple positions, and highlights impressive offensive versatility. He’s adaptable to various different roles and simply makes wining plays.”

“Ashe is an athletic prospect, which one can see immediately on the floor.  He attacks the paint and rim and really looks to finish strong at the rim but he also uses that athleticism to get on the boards as well.  However, he continues to expand his game, showing he can operate and score from the outside as well.”

“Ashe might have left the biggest impression on us on Day 2 with thunderous dunk after thunderous dunk.  Putting defenders on posters, finishing strong at the rim, and continuing to get out in transition and get downhill, Ashe looked to have something on his mind and something to prove late on Day 2.”
