Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Comeh Emuobor
Committed to: UCF
What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:
“While the recruiting landscape has definitely hurt everyone listed, one could argue that Emuobor would legitimately have double, if not triple, his current number of offers in a normal year. Without beating a dead horse or overstating my personal feelings about him, his lack of recruitment should be more acknowledged by the masses. Players who possess his blend of adaptability, physical tools, and low-maintenance identity simply belong at the highest level of college basketball. He’s a capable three-point shooter, but prefers to attack the basket or pull-up from midrange if possible. Emuobor also provides an elite defensive and rebounding presence for his position. He’s also a natural leader and willing to produce within any role.”
“Emuobor is a star in the making… it is looking evident that he is going to quickly be a name around the country that everyone will know and when watching him, it is easy to see why. To put it simply, he looks like a grown man at times against his opponents, doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants. At his size at 6’4/6’5, Emuobor simply bullies against guards, whether it is rising up to knock down shots or force his way into the paint and finishing at the rim. But what is also crazy to watch is that he can do the same against bigs, getting by them and scoring at will. Add that to his big-time IQ, his leadership on the court, his motor, and his ability to take the big shot when needed, Emuobor checks off a ton of boxes early on.”
“A two-way guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor, who has a high motor, who can shoot off the dribble, catch and shoot, and can get to the basketball at any time and a true leader.” – Comeh in 2021
“Well, the two-way wing prospect is an elite defender and rebounder with the tools to dominate a game without necessarily needing to control the offensive action. That being said, Emuobor is more than capable of being a primary cog within an efficient offense. He’s a reliable creator and perimeter shooter with phenomenal finishing abilities, making him an all-around nightmare assignment for most opponents. Emuobor is also a useful passer and does a brilliant job of regularly securing second-chance opportunities. He makes a consistent impact in transition and provides an overwhelmingly physical presence on both ends of the floor.”
