Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Nygie Stroman
Class: 2022
Committed to: Davidson-Davie CC

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'With his feel for the game, it was hard to notice his impact on the floor. Once you look at his game on the floor, versatility is the name of the game for Stroman. He can score in multiple ways and on multiple levels, but also impact by being a monster on the boards, using his 6'6 frame to his advantage. And he is continuing to improve and develop his ball-handling and getting comfortable in bringing the ball up to initiate the offense and in transition.'

'Stroman is one that simply produces but at times gets overlooked. But you can't deny that he is a matchup problem with his 6'6 frame, his motor, and his ability to operate in so many areas on the floor on both ends. He is comfortable moving around and operating offensively inside and out, finishing strong around the rim but displaying a mid-range game. He also moves really well on the defensive end and plays extremely hard, while helping get on the boards. He isn't flashy but super productive for his team.'

'Few teams on display were as balanced as Flight 22, and Stroman is a massive part of their overall identity. He showcases flashes of inside-out ability and has the necessary size to effectively play inside or outside the paint. Stroman defends multiple positions and does a little bit of everything within the flow of the action. He's also a capable rebounder and makes plays in transition. Stroman also ended up deciding the outcome of this game, scoring the final basket in overtime.'

'Nygie had a very good day today, contributing in just about every way you can name. The true Small Forward has a college-ready frame and defends with a fair purpose that will only enhance with further discipline. His offensive game isn't the fastest, but it's effective and comfortable. The lefty open spot-up jumpers as well as having the ability to create mid shots of his own off the dribble.'
