Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Marshall Klug
Class: 2022
Committed to: Emory & Henry

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Finishing up, we look at a player that showcased drastic development while standing out as the top unsigned senior on display, Marshall Klug. He's a long, skilled forward/post prospect with the ability to reliably face-up or operate with his back to the basket. Klug has added noticeable strength over the last year, making him stronger and allowing him to physically outwork opponents around the basket. Between his touch, footwork, and shooting ability, Klug fits the mold of a modern post player. He also shows flashes of quality vision and the ball-handling skills against other big men. For those who have seen his complete trajectory, Klug should have obvious appeal to college coaches. Next in his development process is working on becoming a craftier ball-handler, as it would make him an even more dynamic offensive threat. Coach Lee on Klug: 'Marshall is a very special player at a legit 6-foot-7 with excellent footwork, hand-eye coordination, and above-average athletic ability. He has a high IQ, nose for the ball, and can get his shot anytime he wants. On the defensive side of the floor, he is a good on-ball defender and great shot-blocker from the weakside. He is definitely a next-level player with his skillset. Marshall checks every box that any college coach would need to have a successful program.' Klug enjoyed an excellent showing at camp, already collecting two offers in the following days, and should continue to be a target for various programs.'

'2022 6'9 Marshall Klug (Basketpoint USA): Have to be impressed with the development that Klug has made over the years. HE continues to be a matchup nightmare on the floor at 6'9 but is very comfortable operating inside and out.  He can operate on all levels and is quite skilled for his size, showing a fluid jumper or battling down low.'

'Even after the final result, it was difficult to single out any one performer from this Feltrim Academy roster. However, Klug continues to make quality strides within his development. It should go without saying at this point, but he should be a priority for a wide variety of scholarship-level programs. He's extremely skilled for his size, able to score in a multitude of ways from both the block and perimeter. Klug is a reliable shooter with touch and the ability to attack within a few dribbles. He's also a nice passer, rebounder, and shot-altering presence.'

'At this point, Klug should be a familiar name amongst scholarship-level programs within the region. Since announcing his decision to attend prep school, Klug has been on an absolute tear. Not only has he added strength and overall toughness, but he genuinely seems to improve with each new viewing. Klug is extremely skilled for his size and position, displaying touch, and inside-out skill. Expect a ton of programs to be in pursuit going forward.'

'There are certainly teams out there that could use the talent of Klug, who is a 6'8 stretch prospect that can score and operate in an array of ways. We have seen him battle down low and showcase his touch around the basket but also his ability to stretch the floor with his jumper really creates a tough matchup for teams.'
