Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“You hear time and time again… college programs of all levels are looking for shooters.  Well, Craven is one of those prospects and has shown it on countless occasions throughout the summer and through the Hoop State League.  Craven continues to show his extremely confident outside shot, getting to his spots, finding holes in the defense, and knocking down multiple threes from all over the floor.  He has terrific footwork and a very fluid release to his shot; you are more surprised when he misses a shot from behind the arc. But Craven also helps in other areas, as he has a natural understanding of the game and how to operate; love his feel and is one that doesn’t take a team out of their offense but just capitalizes on the situation.” – Patrick O’Brien

“Although he’s not necessarily a traditional point guard, Craven is more than capable of operating as a primary creator for this group. He’s crafty, unselfish, and offers a nice balance between scoring and playmaking. Craven utilizes his body well to navigate through traffic and set up others. He understands how to consistently generate opportunities for this group.” – Jeff Bendel

“Craven is one that I think really should start earning more attention.  Programs need shooters and he has one of the smoothest shots in the state and plays with extreme confidence.  He continued to show that once again, hitting shots with range and playing with terrific IQ.” – Patrick O’Brien

“Liam Craven is a very talented basketball player that proves himself time and time again. The solid combo guard is a marksman from deep with the ability to create from within the arc on the floor, as well as get his teammates involved. Finished his first game with 9 3’s en route to a 27-point performance. Hoping colleges see the value in this guy.” – DeAjai Dawkins
