Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jayden Epps
Class: 2022
Committed to: Providence

Stats from 2019-2020 season:

Epps had a terrific 2019-20 season, simply putting on a show.  During his sophomore season, he averaged 26 points per game, scoring over 700 points in just 27 games.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Jayden has a great motor and is a strong, physical playmaker.  He uses his powerful frame, a solid handle and attacks angles nicely.  He likes to get downhill where he overpowers many defenders and has the ability to get into the body of bigger defenders and create contact where he is strong enough to get his shot off and create extra opportunities at the free throw line.  Jayden can score at all levels, absorbs contact nicely and has a great touch around the rim in addition to high level shot making skill with the jumper.  He is a menace defensively, always applying ball pressure and playing with tenacity.' – Frank Bennett in 2020

'Epps is a smooth shot-maker. Has a beautiful shooting stroke and plays under control. He will be a perfect fit at Providence and their style of play.'

'Jayden Epps is one of the most talented guards in the country. He can absolutely fill it up and has a tremendous shot.  Every shot looks like it is going in.' – Tyler Lewis from Phenom Opening

'Jayden has been on a scoring rampage this season and Kings Fork's win over Green Run was another opportunity to showcase why he is ranked among the top sophomores in Virginia. Jayden scored 26 points, went 11-14 at the line to help lead Kings Fork to a big lead early then hit clutch free throws down the stretch to hold off a Stallions rally. A powerful guard he pounds defenders to get to the rim and likes to initiate contact to score. He hits step backs and spot threes and is most effective on the drive where he plays through contact nicely and is able to get his shot off.' – Frank Bennett from Virginia Preps in 2020
