Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: CJ Collins
Class: 2022
Committed to: Princeton

What is Princeton Getting:

CJ Collins is an interesting get for Princeton, as he is still a developing big that has only gotten better over the years we have seen him.' First off, he is a 6'10 forward with a 7'2 wingspan, and he understands how to use his length to his advantage. What are his strong points in his game right now' Collins does a very good job on the glass, whether it is on the offensive or defensive side of the ball; he just has a knack of racking up the rebounds and getting his hands on the ball. He also uses his length well as a rim protector as well.' He is still developing his overall game on the offensive end but shows nice touch around the basket.' Collins has a chance to be a real impact player on both ends of the floor at the next level and is a nice little snag for Princeton as he continues to work and develop his game.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Loved what I saw out of Collins and Greensboro Day needed every minute of what he provided on the floor. He is still developing his overall offensive game but this forward was all over the boards and making a huge presence down in the paint as a shot-blocker.' He just has a knack for using his big wingspan to get his hands on the ball and walling up in the paint. College coaches could use a player like that for sure.'

'When you watch Collins on the floor, you know what you are going to get and there still is intrigue in how he may continue to develop. But when you talk about his game today, Collins does a really good job getting on the boards and being a rim protector on the defensive end. He uses his length extremely well and is incredibly active on the boards, along with his mobility.  Collins also shows nice touch offensively.'

'Collins played strong in both outings today, especially with his activity level on the glass. The 2022 long big man was active, showcased to be a rim-protector, and really got after it on the boards on both ends, always seemingly getting a hand on the ball.  Though you can see he has nice touch around the basket, he really can impact the floor in other ways and showed it today.'
