Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Samage Teel
Class: 2020
Committed to: Winston-Salem State

What the Player Said:

Q: What do you think you will be able to bring to the program?

Teel: “I know I will bring hard work, winning, and most of all, leadership as a freshman, try to lead all the guys in the right place when we are on the court.  I’m going to do whatever it takes to win.”

Q: How would you best describe your game on the floor and what will fans get to see in the future?

Teel: “I think I would describe myself as a flat-out dog.  I feel like when I step on the court, nobody can stop me because I know what I’m capable of doing.  And they will see a dog out of me, great energy, and a flashy player that will do anything to win.”

Q: What would you like to say to the fans?

Teel: “Let’s get ready to win a championship and go Rams!”

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“He does a lot of different things for the Jaguars but scoring the ball with efficiency from all three levels seems to be his most appealing quality. Teel is unselfish and works extremely well with his teammates but remains among the top handful of pure scorers in North Carolina. He attacks the basket regularly, can pull-up from mid-range or beyond, and works well without the ball as a spot-up threat. Additionally, Teel can assume secondary ball-handling duties in a pinch and understands how to set up others quite effectively.” – Jeff Bendel in Jan. 2020

“Teel has the complete package. He can score, handle, pass, rebound and defend and is without question the “glue guy” for this talented Farmville Central team. In the game against the No. 4 team in the country, The Patrick School, Teel finished with 20 points, going 4-13 from the floor, 2-7 from the 3-point line, and 10-12 from the free throw line. He collected six rebounds, dished out four assists and had two steals with only committing one turnover for the game.” – Rick Lewis from John Wall Invitational in 2019
