Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.' It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Nolan Dorsey
Class: 2020
Committed to: New Mexico

What the Player Said:

What made New Mexico the place for you in the end'' I know you were very excited when they offered.

Dorsey: 'There is so much talent on the team and in the conference.' It is a challenge I need to make me a better player.'

How did you inform the staff of your decision'' How did it all go down and what did they say/ react'

Dorsey: 'I called Coach Weir and told him that New Mexico was the best fit for me and my goals and that I was ready to commit.' They told me he loved it and how fired up he was (about my decision).'

What will be your focus now with the decision behind you'

Dorsey: 'Getting stronger, improving my deep ball, and winning a state championship of course.'

What do you think you could provide to that program on the court'

Dorsey: 'I can guard 1-4.' I think I can play with any guard and I think my game makes others better.'

Last Season's Stats:

Last year for a Millbrook team that finished 27-2, Dorsey saw action in 15 games and averaged 4.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 0.8 steals per game.' With the losses the Wildcats have from last year, expect all those numbers to rise this season.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Talking to Coach Weir, I gained a lot of respect for him,' Dorsey said.' 'He likes my game, which I appreciate and I think my game fits their style of play, so I'm definitely interested.' ' Dorsey told Phenom Hoops when offered from New Mexico

'Dorsey was a player on varsity last year and has made incredible strides over the summer to entrench himself as a sure-fire, multiple offer Division1 prospect. His father played at JMU, his brother is at Navy and his sister playing at College of Charleston and Nolan may be the best player of the kids. A dynamic point guard, who is great in transition, gets anywhere he wants off the bounce and seemingly has eyes in the back of his head. With two more years left, watch closely.' ' Jamie Shaw from Open Gym in 2018
