Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Jaden House
Class: 2020
Committed to: High Point

What the Player Said:

PHR: What made High Point, in the end, the place for you'

House: I had a lot of options and routes that people probably thought would've been better for me but being honest, I wanted to choose a path that is different and, in the end, everyone playing this spot has the same goal and that is to play professionally.  High Point isn't far from another hometown of mine, Greenville, North Carolina.

PHR: What did the staff say when you told them' They had to be excited.

House: They were really excited.  A lot of people didn't really think that I would go there, so they said their phones were buzzing off the hook.

PHR: That is awesome.  What is your relationship with the staff and Coach Smith'

House: They have a great staff, and Coach Smith is one of the best in the NCAA, so the decision, in the end, was great for me.  They are really happy for me to get there and get to work and it is the same for me.

Stats Last Season:

This season, House led the way for Middleburg Academy, averaging 24 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, as the Dragons finished the season with a 22-5 overall record.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'He's a smart, strong, athletic guard prospect with great size, length, and the ability to control the action on either end of the floor. House defends with purpose and knows how to suffocate opponents with his quickness and meticulous positioning, which leads to a consistent stream of turnovers and easy transition buckets. He creates with relative ease and has the necessary craftiness to get wherever he desires on the court. House scores the ball well from all three levels but prefers to attack the basket.' ' Virginia Phenom 150 evaluation

'Jaden is an athletic marvel; he is powerful and explosive. He can stop on a dime and before you can blink an eye he explodes by you. He elevates quickly off the floor and has crazy bounce and he plays at a furious pace from opening tip to final buzzer if need be. He has the ability to beat players off the dribble with his tremendous first step going left or right, and is solid getting to the rim in a straight line. Jaden attacks the basket with a lethal first step and crossover ability showing a quick, tight handle and cat-like quickness even while executing difficult crossovers and change of direction moves where he establishes a low center of gravity and with his powerful strides and shifty movements erupts into the paint or to the rim. He handles the ball exceptionally well and gets into the lane effortlessly.' ' Frank Bennett in 2018
