In year 4 of the Phenom Hoop State Championship, it was another terrific ending to the high school season as the top non-association teams came to Lincolnton (NC) hoping to walk away with a state title. The games were competitive and exciting, as it was a packed house throughout the event and every player left everything they had on the court. But only one team was able to walk away with a championship, and once again that proved to be Combine Academy. They have now won three in a row but this is Coach Mike Wright’s first state title, one that he has really wanted.

Combine was able to walk away from an INTENSE battle vs. Winston Salem Christian National, winning 65-61 and finishing the season with a 37-5. This team has proven itself time after time, has big-time talent that has stepped up all throughout, and a program that put in the work to get where they are today… a state champion.

2023 Trentyn Flowers, 2023 Silas Demary Jr., 2023 Collin Tanner, 2024 Rakease Passmore, and so many others stepped up in key situations all throughout the week, and all that hard work, the travel, and dedication this team has put in this season paid off with a state title.

Congrats to all teams in having a tremendous season, and also congrats to the Goats at Combine Academy for winning the Phenom Hoop State Championship and being crowned a champion.
