We are always looking to highlight different players from our events, and there were a few players who played really well that we haven’t talked about a lot so far this season. But they certainly showed that they are worthy of the attention of college coaches and should be on radars around the region. Check out a few players that impressed.

2025 6’4 Myles Smith (Salisbury)

Smith is a player we have seen in the past at VCCS but he is now leading the charge at Salisbury. Getting a bigger opportunity to showcase his full talent, Smith is taking full advantage of that and flourishing on both ends of the court. When talking about his game, you always start with the length and athleticism, finishing high at the rim, rising and finishing over defenders, and being simply more athletic than other prospects. But Smith was able to show more of his overall impact throughout the weekend; being active and disruptive defensively, creating his own shot, and being an effective scorer along the perimeter.

2026 6’0 Owen Calvert (Calvary Day)

You have to love what Calvert brings to the table. This is a young man who simply competes, battles, and looks to prove to others each time on the floor.  He simply knows how to get a bucket, making strong plays and forcing the action with his ability to create and finish, as well as knocking down shots from multiple levels. Calvert has a quick first step, using that to create well off the bounce and embracing contact but also mixes it up well with good range on his shots.

2025 6’5 Devin Sims (NC GBB)

Sims is an underrated prospect that college coaches could look at. Of course, his athleticism and bounce at the rim grab your attention immediately, as he is at his best when he is attacking, pushing in transition, and getting down at the rim to score. But he showed that he can be an impact in other areas, as he brings a strong frame to help on the boards, shows that he can create and find other teammates, and force the action offensively in getting to the rim or with his jumpers.

2025 6’5 Geronimo Clark (Queens Grant)

Though this is a roster that gets a lot of attention with the young talent, there are seniors that do deserve more attention and 2025 6’5 Geronimo Clark is one of them. He just finds ways to be productive and help his team, whether it is using his size to score, knocking down open jumpers, competing on the glass, being a downhill driver, or just being active both offensively and defensively. Clark knows how to help his team, and he displayed that throughout the event this past weekend.
