The crowd was ready for this matchup, as South Granville and Leesville Road battled it out at the City of Oaks Classic in Raleigh. Both teams looked to push the ball in transition when the opportunities were available, but also shared the ball really well in the half-court. Both teams shot the ball well in the first half, with Leesville Road shot 54 percent from the floor compared to 45 percent for South Granville. Carter Whitt led the way for Leesville, going for 12 early first-half points, while Micah Jones led all scorers with 13 points for South Granville. Each team traded blows with South Granville taking the 33-32 halftime lead.
A couple of thunderous dunks from Kobe Jones for South Granville got the team and fans riled up, as they created a little bit of separation in the third quarter (49-43). Their lead got as big as 13 points but Leesville never quit, chipping away and getting it as close as six points in the final seconds. South Granville though knocked down late free throws and secured the 64-56 victory in Game 4 at the City of Oaks Classic.
