Now, we look to break down each game and what to watch!

12:00PM ' Lake Norman HS vs. Covenant Day

This game will be a fun way to start the day off, as Lake Norman and Covenant Day both have intriguing prospects to watch on the court.  When you look at Lake Norman who is led by Grant Hodges, they are off to a great start and have some names that are quietly putting up some impressive numbers.

Led by 2023 Cole Callaway, the junior guard has been showing it all on the court with his ability to knock down shots from outside but also put it on the deck and score.  He is averaging 18 points per game this season and has been doing so consistently all season long.  Then, you have to look at a very interesting and fast-rising freshman in 2025 Tre Mckinnon, who is averaging 12.3ppg, 6.5rpg, and 1.8spg.  He plays with tremendous poise and maturity for his age, while also displaying a great frame, a quick first step, length, and athleticism.  It is why he is ranked as one of the top players in his class early on in North Carolina.

On the other side of things with Covenant Day, you have to start with the big man in the middle in 2022 6'10 Iffy Ufochukwu who is committed to Boston University.  With his length and shot-blocking in the paint, he is going to be a tough matchup for Lake Norman.  And let’s not forget to mention he can carve out space and finish well offensively in the paint. Then you have some talented guards in 2023 Jahmir Brown, who is an absolute pest defensively and looks to lead the offense, while also having his brother 2023 Marcus Brown, who brings length and play-making ability.  Add in another talented freshman in 2025 Chris Rivens, who has shown to be a natural scorer as well, the guard matchup in this game will be fun to watch.

But there are several other players in this game that will step up and make themselves known as this should be a great battle to start the day.
