Introduction to Queen’s Grant young stars

Queen’s Grant is going to be a team that many will want to watch this upcoming season, and one of the first times many will get a chance to watch them is at the Carmel Tip-Off.  Talking about this team, this is a team that brings good balance, but we are excited to see what the young prospects will be able to show, as 2028 Chase Smith and 2028 Mekhi Allen have a chance to be some of the top prospects in the class. They will be on display on the big stage, and they could clearly put their names on many more radars with a strong performance on Day 2.

Looking like 2026 Cameron Newman’s team early on at Gaston Christian

Gaston Christian has been a team we have watched over the Fall, especially at the Hoop State Fall League and it was pretty clear that 2026 Cameron Newman will be counted on to step up even more to lead the way. Now, this is a team that has talent all around him and players will certainly be stepping up. However, Newman has stepped up his game and is hoping to lead his team to big things this season, starting at the Carmel Tip-Off.

Big-time NC matchup between Combine and WS Christian

Two national programs square up at the Carmel Tip-Off, with Combine Academy and Winston-Salem Christian both bringing talent of all levels to the stage.  Combine is led by their dynamic guard play in 2025 Kaden Magwood and 2026 Yohance Connor, while WS Christian brings not only several new names as well several familiar names like 2026 Bradley Floyd, 2026 Tyson Thompson, and others. This will be a battle of the Titans here in North Carolina, and it is only fitting that this takes place in the national spotlight.

Carmel and Burlington Christian are back in action on Day 2

To end what will be a memorable event in Matthews, Carmel Christian is back at home in what should be a packed gym with a rowdy crowd, as Carmel Christian and The Burlington School finish off Saturday night.  TBS will have one of the top players in the country leading the way, as 2027 King Gibson hopes to make his mark both offensively and defensively.  But he will have plenty of talent around him as well, as they look to match up against the offense of 2025 Bryce Slay and the guard play that Carmel Christian will bring.  It should be a thrilling way to end the night with two powerhouse programs going at it.
