Starting off the Carmel Tip-Off, Northside Christian and Combine Regional go underway here at Carmel Christian. Combine struck first with two early baskets, but Northside was able to settle down, attack out in transition, and completely flip the game early in the first quarter, leading 24-8 after one. 2024 Kyrell Shaw was the lead early on offensively, scoring in a variety of ways. Combine Regional started to climb a bit back in, cutting into the lead and shots were starting to fall. But the scrappiness of Northside Christian really took a toll early on, as Northside led 42-23 at halftime.
With Northside building nearly a 20-point lead, Combine Regional once again started to climb their way back in early, cutting into the lead throughout the third quarter down to as many as 12 but each time, Northside had a response. Once again, Northside was able to close out the quarter strong and build its lead again, eventually taking a 49-33 lead after three. Combine continued to bring the fight but Northside Christian just was too much in the end, both offensively and defensively. A strong showing and start to the event, Northside Christian took home the victory on Day 1 over Combine Regional.
