Game 2 on Day 2, Northside Christian and Northwood Temple were back in action here in Matthews for the Carmel Christian, as the atmosphere and crowd started to pile in for a great day of basketball.  Two very different teams (roster-wise) got it going early, as Northwood Temple's zone defense created some early havoc, but Northside Christian started to get their guards going. Northwood Temple was able to gain the early first-quarter lead 16-12, but it was a back-and-forth game from then on until halftime. Northwood Temple's guards did a great job in knocking down shots, as Cannon Keziah led the way in the first half with 13 points, while Northside Christian was led by Antonio Perkins with nine points.  Neither team was able to escape from each other, as Northside Christian held the narrow 25-24 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Northside Christian was able to put together the first true run in the game, as Perkins, Goudelock, and Shaw all started to knock down shots from the perimeter to give them a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter. Northside was able to maintain that double-digit lead throughout the fourth quarter, as they come away with a 2-0 record at the Carmel Tip-Off and put everyone on notice.  Northside walked away with the
