Carmel Christian Tip-Off Christian Event Link

The week is finally here high school basketball fans… The season is here for Phenom Hoop Report and we are kicking off the high school year in a big way in Charlotte this weekend with the Carmel Christian Tip-Off Classic.

With a loaded schedule and a full breakdown, which can be found here (Click Here), we start our coverage by break down a few teams at the event.

2020 6’9 Josh Hall

What is there not to like about Hall.  It has been a gift for Phenom Hoop Report to watch this young man develop into who he is today.  Starting as a lengthy but thin prospect early on, Hall has put in the hard work and is now considered one of the top prospects in the country.  His length and outside game have always been there but he now has truly put everything together, becoming an unstoppable force when he steps on the floor; he knows it as well.  One of the best players in the country, he will for sure be one that has the eyes of all the fans.

2020 6’0 PG Shakeel Moore

Moore comes to Moravian Prep and looks to be a huge part of this program on both ends of the floor.  Moore is incredibly athletic and strong for someone of his size.  He can score inside and out, as well as distribute to his talented teammates.  But what is even more impressive is his game on the defensive end, as he is one of the top players in the country as a lockdown defender.  He gets this team going and should be in for a special season.

2021 6’4 Darrius Davis

Davis is the ultimate glue guy for this team; he does a lot of the dirty work and screams production when on the court.  He can get downhill and attack the rim, finishing through contact and playing with a tough mindset.  Davis is a very reliable offensive threat and an underrated passer.

2022 6’3 Amare Haynie

Haynie is a new name for this team but a familiar one around the state of North Carolina.  Haynie has the ability to play on and off the ball, using his handles to create space and get defenders off-balance.  With his wingspan, he can rise over defenders or finish in the lane; he stays in attack mode.  He will be yet another guard that could be in for a solid year.

2020 6’10 Javarzia Belton has been battling a few injuries lately, but Moravian Prep will also have a ton of talent around as well, including 2021 6’9 Jordan Wildy, 2020 6’3 Jamahri Harvey, 2021 6’6 Terrence Johnson, and 2020 6’8 Luke Davis as well.  All of them will play a big part in what they hope to be a special season.
