Saturday (November 13)

12:00 PM Concord Academy vs. Wayne Country Day ' Concord's new names

We spoke about Wayne Country Day for Friday's storylines but Concord Academy is an intriguing team to watch, especially with what this team has.  '24 Langston Boyd leads this team but there are several new names that will be entering the rankings for North Carolina including '23 Noah Van Bibber, '24 Kany Tchanda, and '22 Albert Diarra. This will be the first time to see them for many.

1:30 PM Legion Collegiate vs. Liberty Heights ' '22 Marcus Kell vs. '22 Ezra Ausar

Speaking of new players, people are excited to see '22 Ezra Ausar as well, as the strong, physical, athletic forward can really make his game felt on the court.  With his 6'8 frame, he can be relentless in getting to the basket and on the boards, but also operates on many levels.  Legion Collegiate has a versatile scorer as well in Western Carolina commit Marcus Kell, who can score in a variety of ways.

3:00 PM Cannon vs. Northside Christian ' What will Cannon look like

Fans will get a chance to watch Northside on Day 1, so they will know what this team has in Wesley Tubbs and company.  But for many, this will be the first-time seeing Cannon in action and the new names on the floor. '24 Austin Swartz is one to start tracking, but they will have several other young and new prospects to learn about.  But you also get to see the veteran leadership from '22 DJ Nix and '22 Karon Boyd.

4:30 PM Moravian Prep vs. Winston Salem Christian ' Young stars on the big stage

This should be fun to watch. Of course, there is history between the staff but this is a chance to watch the rising young talent in North Carolina. Moravian Prep will be led by '25 Eli Ellis and '26 Isaac Ellis, as they can be deadly all over the court and have deep range.  But WS Christian has a few young stars in the making, especially '24 Lewis Walker who has been extremely productive, and '24 Isaiah Washington, as both will be near the top of the rankings early on.

6:00 PM Greensboro Day vs. Oak Hill ' Hall of Fame Coaches Match Up

We have been talking about this matchup for quite some time now, as Freddy Johnson and Greensboro Day takes on Steve Smith and Oak Hill.' Both coaches have racked over 1,000 wins each and are Hall of Fame coaches.' You can read more about that here: Click Here. They will also both be bringing D1 prospects all over the court in this one.

7:30 PM Combine Academy vs. NC Good Better Best ' Combine offense vs. NC GBB defense

NC GBB is a new program and would love nothing more than to make a huge splash to start the season.  We got to watch them this summer with Sheed Wallace Select and this is a team that can get after it defensively and plays a certain way.  That defensive mentality will be challenged with the offensive capabilities from Combine.  And an added bonus… you get Coach Patrick Cole vs. Coach Jeff McInnis!

9:00 PM Carmel Christian vs. Westminster Catawba ' '22 Cade Tyson vs. '22 MJ Collins

Two of the top players in the Class of 2022 and both committed to D1 programs, Cade Tyson and MJ Collins will battle it out on the court.  Both can knock down shots and bring range with their game, but also can fill up the stat sheet in an array of ways. It should be a great way to end the event.
