The third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest kicked off with an exciting matchup between Calvary Day and Carmel Christian. In the opening minutes, Calvary Day took control of the lead through unselfish ball movement and efficient offensive execution of their Asher Tolbert, Dane Cassada, Owen Calvert, Carson Barnett, Nate Keegan, and Jordan Richardson. However, Carmel Christian kept things close and trailed 14-11 after the first quarter. The back-and-forth exchange began, as neither team was able to gain separation and Calvary Day held a 36-34 lead going into halftime. Following the break, Carmel Christian came out of the locker room with increased energy and started to set the tone behind Kameron Taylor, Chandler Kennedy, Cody Peck, and Bryce Slay. It remained close through the closing minutes, where Carmel Christian ultimately secured a 67-63 victory over Calvary Day.
