Phenom Hoops traveled to Clayton, North Carolina to cover Coach Brandon Sanders Skills training session. It was a great opportunity to watch a handful of prospects in the eastern part of the state.''Also, we want to personally thank Coach Sanders for the invitation and hospitality. Too often today, fundamentals are not properly taught and it was refreshing to watch Coach Sanders and his group of players focus on basic fundamentals, such as shooting off the catch and moving without the ball to get open. Now, let's take a closer look at the players that participated.'

6'6 2021 BJ Freeman (Word of God)

Freeman is no stranger to Phenom Hoops. He's attended several of our camps and we've had the opportunity to watch him at the high school level. We've been tracking Freeman for quite some time as carried an impressive reputation since middle school.''We're talking about a strong and explosive prospect around the rim. Last season, Freeman averaged 20.6 PPG and 11.0 RPG. Freeman currently sports offers from James Madison, Penn State, Purdue, and Winthrop.'

6'2 2022 Brandon Sanders (Star Christian Academy)

Back in 2015, Brandon Sanders attended our NC Junior Phenom camp. At the time, he was 5'6 and we wrote the following.''Brandon scored high in attitude, acceptance of criticism, basketball IQ, effort and team play. He works hard on both ends of the court.''Fast forward to 2020 and he now stands a solid and sturdy 6'2. We were impressed with his shooting throughout the workout. He has excellent shooting mechanics, a quick release and good backspin and rotation on the ball. Last season, Sanders averaged 18 PPG, 8 RPG, and 5 APG and was selected All-State in CAASC.'

6'3 2022 Nayshin Waller (Wilson Prep)

We were able to first watch Waller back in March, 2019 at our Phenom Opening. Playing for the NC Wildcats, we wrote the following. 'Waller was their most productive and versatile all-around threat. He showed the ability to handle the ball, initiate the offense.''Waller averaged 16.6 PPG last season for Princeton but has decided to transfer to Wilson Prep. Look for Waller to have a breakout season for Wilson Prep.

6'2 2021 Tyrese Whitley (Princeton)

Tyrese Whitley is blessed with athleticism and an extra gear when it comes to elevating around the rim. Last season, Whitley averaged 14.9 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 2.8 APG, and an impressive 2.4 SPG. In addition, Whitley was selected All-Conference and All-County.'

6'5 2021 Jeremiah McLean (South Johnston HS)

This was our first-time observing McLean. The southpaw has length and athleticism and showcased good bounce around the rim.
