Player: Malachi Reeves
Class: 2021
Height: 6'3
Position: Guard

Getting it done on the court and off:

Although his season was cut short by injury, Reeves still was extremely productive when on the court.  A 6'3 guard, he showed that he can score on multiple levels and really be a threat from behind the arc, shooting 40 percent from three.  What is interesting as well is with his size and position, he averaged 7.7 rebounds per game and also dished out 3.2 assists.  He has secured a varsity letter for the last three years.

Not only a productive player on the court, he also was All-Region in track in the 4×800, 800, and 4×400.  He also played tennis for his high school back in 2018.

In the classroom, Reeves was named to the National Honors Society and posts a 4.0 GPA.  This summer, he will be competing with the Upward Stars Upstate program.

Coach's Thoughts:

'Malachi has a great feel for the game on both ends.  He tends to always end up where the ball is.  He is very unselfish and seems to love making basketball plays.  He has developed into a very effective outside shooter (40% from 3 2019-2020), but also can find ways to collapse a defense to get an easy shot for a teammate.  Even after his injury, Malachi was often the biggest cheerleader on our bench.  I would often run into him as I walked up and down the sideline.' – Coach Ben Lee
