Season in review:

As a sophomore, we just got to see a glimpse of what Morgan could provide on the court.  But as a junior, fans got to see his entire game, as he took a tremendous jump statistically this past season.  Averaging an impressive 19.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and shooting 53 percent from the floor (32 percent from 3, 59 percent from 2), Morgan continued to catch the eyes of many and it could be just the start of an impressive summer and senior campaign.  He was also named to the North Carolina All-District Team, the Pac7 All-Conference team, Pac7 All-Tournament team, and is ranked as one of the top players in the state by Phenom Hoops.

Being a fantastic student as well:

Morgan not only had a tremendous and impressive season the court, but he also got it done in the classroom.  He currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and finished his junior year with a 4.5 GPA.  He was also named an honor student, named to the national society of high school scholars, and has been on the AB honor roll every year in high school.

Phenom Hoops Camp Evaluation:

We look at a player that was arguably one of the savviest offensive performers in attendance, Jacob Morgan. He's a long, smart, extremely skilled forward prospect with ball skills and phenomenal three-level scoring ability. Morgan plays hard, unselfish, and simply exudes productivity whenever he's on the floor. Coach Dre on Morgan: 'Jake is such a versatile player. He can kill you in a lot of ways. His three-point range has really improved, his midrange is automatic, and he gets above the rim. He is an all-around player and, most of all, a team player. He is so vocal and such a great teammate, always going to bat for his squad. He brings it on every possession and never takes a play off. He is so fundamentally-sound but has bounce and handles that might fool people and catch you sleeping. In my opinion, he belongs at the next level for sure.'
