A guard that relatively went under the radar for much of the season in North Carolina, 2021 Bradlee Haskell is one that just took advantage of the opportunities ahead of him.

This season though, Haskell showed his consistency as being a dominant guard at Pinecrest, averaging 20.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game and helping his team make a deep run in the playoffs.  It was a season to remember for him, earning multiple offers along the way.  However, it wasn't until a big-time performance late in the season when it really all came together for Haskell.

'It was a pretty good season,' Haskell said.  'We finished the season 27-4, losing in the Final 4.  I picked up an offer from High Point later in the season and then after that, I picked up two more offers from Winthrop and UNC-Pembroke.'

'I thought I was having a pretty good year but once I scored 51 points in the last regular-season game, I started getting a lot of attention with some coaches.  When the playoffs came, those coaches came to see me play against Heritage.  I played pretty well, scoring 40 and grabbing eight rebounds and six assists.  That is when I got my first offers.'

It was a night to remember for Haskell, going for 51 to help close out the conference for Pinecrest.  He was also recognized hitting the 1,000-point mark before the game, so he certainly was excited about the moment.

Earning those offers was a great time for the rising senior guard and certainly meant a lot to him, with more potentially coming down the road.  When you ask Haskell about his game, he would compare his game as a mixture of Westbrook and CP3; a tough, gritty, and confident point guard.

With that type of combination and production he has shown, schools like Elon, UNCG, and Air Force have also expressed interest.

“Just talked to me about the recruiting process and all,” he replied. “

It goes to show you though that you never know when a night on the basketball court can change your future.  For Haskell, the talent is there and after that one special performance, everything has changed for him and it could only continue to get better.
