The second day of Phenom Hoops’ Country Roads Holiday Invitational opened up in a similar fashion, as both of these teams came prepared to battle. Both squads proved to be extremely competitive and evenly-matched, trading buckets throughout the first half and entering halftime in a one-point contest. The Miller School came out in the second half with something to prove. They secured the lead and held up well down the stretch behind the play of Clarence Rupert and Quadir Pettaway. Beckley IJN battled to the very end and enjoyed quality showings from Curtis Houston and Saliou Nguer. The Miller School secured a 57-51 victory over Beckley IJN.
