Byrnes vs. Combine Academy

Byrnes came out strong but Combine started to find their rhythm to secure a 5-point first-quarter lead.  They continued that defense and their ability to pound it down low to their advantage, eventually creating a 13-point margin at halftime.

Combine's perimeter game started to click as well and Byrnes still had trouble with the length, as it became a 20-point lead midway through the third.  Still though, Byrnes continued to attack and push the tempo when available.  But there just seemed to be too much firepower for Combine.

Combine ended their day shooting 47.5 percent from the floor but also creating 20 turnovers.  Byrnes played incredibly hard and competed throughout, shooting 43 percent from the floor.

AZ Compass vs. Legacy Early College

AZ Compass came out strong, shooting 61 percent from the floor but Legacy Early's ability to create second chances and attack the glass kept them down by 1 after the first quarter.  Both teams struggled though to find any offensive flow in the second quarter.

This was a battle for much of the game, including heading into the fourth quarter but AZ Compass got out in transition created from their defense to expand their lead.  Add in a couple of three's, Compass' lead was just too much to overcome in the end, taking home the victory.

Beauchamp continued to stay aggressive on the floor, using his skill, versatility, and length to finish strong inside the arc as well as get on the boards.  Jarvis Moss though kept Cannon within striking distance with his 3-point shooting.

The game lost a little thunder due to a lot of fouls but Dream City Christian held on for the big win on Day 2.

To end the day, Christ Church and Nation Ford matched up as the home team looked to get in on the action at the Battle at the Rock.  Neither team found their shots in the first quarter, with Christ Church holding the early 10-8 lead.  Much of the same occurred in the second quarter in a low scoring affair, as neither team shot over 40 percent from the floor.

The battle continued, as Christ Church looked to use their size more offensively but Nation Ford did a solid job making it difficult.  Christ used a strong push towards the end to separate themselves a little but Nation Ford battled all the way til the end, eventually cutting it down to 3 with 15 seconds to remain.  Free throws helped seal the deal for Christ Church.
