Hamilton: 38 40 – 77
East Troy: 25 33 – 58

Game Recap:

In front of a packed crowd at Hamilton, as they honored some greats from the past, the energy was absolutely fantastic all night long.  Both teams came in undefeated on the season and looking for a big win over the holiday break.

Hamilton, led by 2021 Patrick Baldwin Jr., came out strong, jumping out to an early double-digit lead in the first few minutes.  Hamilton stayed aggressive for much of the first half, led by Baldwin's 14 points.  East Troy kept it within striking distance, continuing to battle throughout.

Much of the same was throughout the second half, as Hamilton used a balanced attack but senior AJ Vukovich and East Troy battled to keep it within 10 points for the first 10 minutes. However, though, Hamilton increased their lead late in the second half to eventually take the 77-58 win and move to 6-0 on the season.

Standouts:

2021 6'9 Patrick Baldwin Jr. (Hamilton): Already ranked as one of the top players in the 2021 class, Baldwin showed his full arsenal on the floor.  A 6'9 prospect with great handles, versatility, and ability to play inside and out, Baldwin made it look easy and effortless.  His blend of handles, IQ, and size is big-time, as he can break down defenders one-on-one with ease.  Baldwin's ability to play within the offense but also takeover himself is fascinating to watch. Stats: 26 points

2020 6'5 AJ Vukovich (East Troy): Vukovich led the way for East Troy in a big way, carrying his team scoring-wise.  The senior forward brought a ton of energy, physicality, and just an absolute grinder on the floor.  Already a top prospect in baseball committed to Louisville, Vukovich is an absolute scoring machine.  Putting the ball on the floor, getting to the rim, finishing through contact, he scored time and time again. Stats: 31 points

2021 6'0 Tanner Resch (Hamilton): Resch is a very good shooter and he showed his range, but he also had a nice touch when he attacked.  The junior guard played tough and with something to prove, as he showed his nice floater time and time again, as well as playing with a great motor.  Stats: 22 points
