2025 JD Bowden has been a player rising up the ranks over the years and proving to be one of the more dynamic point guards in the state of North Carolina. And though he has faced some tough uphill battles as of late, he is back on the court and looking strong once again.
Suiting up in a new jersey for Ambassador Christian, Bowden has quickly reminded everyone how dynamic of a guard he can be on the court. When talking about his game, Bowden brings a tremendous blend of playmaking and scoring, but also understands how to bring a balanced impact on the court on both sides of the court. He has a quick burst of speed and excels out in the open floor, as not only can he surprise you with his athleticism at his size but also can quickly make opponents pay by scoring or facilitating. Bowden is strong off the dribble, using a quick burst to get by defenders with ease, attacking well, and finding ways to finish with touch and athleticism; he can get several opponents in foul trouble with his quickness. But he is one who understands how to create his own shot from multiple areas. And when his shot isn’t here, he does a great job in leading the charge and facilitating to open teammates, really helping bring a balanced offensive game for Ambassador Christian. Lastly, he is a guard who competes in many areas on the court, which he showed at the Phenom Tip-Off. He filled up the stat sheet, scoring, helping on the boards, facilitating, and being a pest defensively, as he was able to be an active defender and create multiple turnovers.
Bowden is one who had a strong summer not long ago but was looking to get back to remind everyone how dynamic of a point guard he can be for a future program. Right now, he holds offers from North Carolina A&T, Radford, FIU, High Point, and Western Carolina, but other programs should be expressing interest.
