The past weekend, Phenom Hoops hosted our annual Team Camp in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Between the individual talent, collection of teams, and overall competition, there were a lot of meaningful takeaways. College coaches were in attendance from start to finish, and several players made lasting impressions with their play. Several teams stood out across the weekend, which certainly includes Ardrey Kell and their intriguing group of talent.

2025 6’4 Brett Freeman
Freeman has a chance to have a big year in leading the charge, using his size to his advantage, creating and being strong off the dribble, scoring over defenders around the basket, but also being able to hurt you from deep. Freeman showcased his true scoring impact at the Team Camp.

2025 6’6 Owen Wacker
Wacker brings size to the table for this team, as he was able to make his impact felt in a variety of ways. He is mobile and has a high motor, shows good touch, being active on the boards, and has good defensive instincts.  At 6’6, he runs the floor well and stays engaged on both sides of the court.

2027 6’0 Braden Suggs
Suggs is a new name that impressed us with his showing at the event, as he played with a ton of confidence, showed tremendous feel for his age, and made high-IQ decisions. Suggs was strong in playing off the ball and knocking down shots, displaying good range, and being an effective offensive option.

2025 5’7 Ethan Tharakan / 2026 5’10 Matthew Craft
Both are experienced guards who bring strong value to the table, with Tharakan and Craft being able to knock down shots, play within the offense, and make good decisions on the floor. Both bring strong contributions to the court.

2025 6’2 Bryceton Thomas, 2026 6’2 Dylan Morrison, 2026 6’4 Gavin Alexander, and others also contribute nicely for this team, as they bring a strong balance to the court. This will be a fun team to watch this upcoming season.
