Anyone who has been around grassroots basketball over the last few summers should know about Alik Lewis, whether through his individual play or the constant slew of high-profile teammates. After a quality freshman campaign at Eastern Alamance, Lewis maintained his strong production and consistency throughout the summer season. Fast-forward a few months and his transfer to Comenius allowed for a new beginning, one where he could reliably take charge as a leader.'

Lewis recently attended our NC/SC Top 80, where we stated, “Moving onto a player that knows how to establish himself as a scoring threat with any collection of teammates, Alik Lewis. He's a smart, wiry guard prospect with the ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. Lewis can score the ball in a variety of different ways, but also understands how to operate as an effective floor general. He's fairly crafty and shifty enough to breakdown opposing defenders. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a better finisher through contact. Coach Orr on Lewis: 'Alik attacks the basket on the offensive end. He's an average outside shooter and not afraid to take it inside. He plays bigger than his size. He needs improvement on being more aggressive on the defensive end and more activity as a rebounder. Alike can work on his ability to move without the ball.' Lewis found various ways to make an impact at camp and should have a productive upcoming season at Comenius.”

Now, it's somewhat impossible to ignore his ridiculous production as the focal point of this group. Through seven games, Lewis is averaging 23.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 4.9 APG, and 3.4 SPG while shooting 71% from the floor and 69% from beyond the arc. Those numbers are simply incredible, especially given the efficiency, and should have folks excited about the Knights with Lewis at the helm. It's still early in the ranking process, but the young, heady guard prospect should continue to turn heads while boosting his stock and establishing himself as one of the more underrated players within his class.
