Dawson really showed us this past weekend at the Summer Finale that he is going to be a name to remember. He was absolutely off the charts with scoring performances of 27, 30, 18, and 27 points in Rock Hill, as he showcased that he is an extremely quick guard, makes quick decisions, and has a quick trigger on his shot that allows him to score from all areas. He was aggressively getting to the rim or knocking down multiple three’s at the Summer Finale.
What Dawson told Phenom Hoops:
Last year, he attended Cary Academy where he played on varsity as a freshman. He really filled up the stat sheet, averaging 16 points and three assists per game, bringing a great mindset to the floor at a young age. Dawson had multiple 30+ games this past season, showing his full potential.
“Every time I step on the court, of course, I want to come out with a win but most importantly, I want to play hard and give it my all on both sides of the court,” he said. “I would definitely say I’m a good shooter and I can also get to the paint and score around there as well. I can also knock down the mid-range when needed.”
