It is going to be an exciting season in North Carolina, especially with the number of new names that will be in action.  The list of players that you will want to see is impressive but there is a big center that you will want to add to that list in 2022 6’10 Christ Essandoko at Winston Salem Christian.

Being new to America, Essandoko is one that is going to be hard to miss with his size but he also brings a developing skill to the court as well.

When speaking to Essandoko, he is excited about the opportunity to showcase his talent on a big platform, giving a glimpse of how he can operate on the court.

“I think I’m a very skilled big man,” he told Phenom Hoops.  “At 7’0, I have touch from around the rim and further out.  I pass very well out of the high post and I am comfortable inside and out.  I’m very excited about playing a national schedule and having teammates and coaches that push me every day.”

Though he is a new player to many, schools aren’t wasting any time when it comes to his recruitment.  Oral Roberts was the first to offer him, while North Carolina A&T was the latest to offer.  And even though this is all new to him, Essandoko is excited about the future.

“I’m feeling blessed that there are some coaches who are seeing my potential,” he said.  “But I’ve only been here for a little time and I have a lot of work still to do.”

Essandoko has quickly made a name for himself already and could only just be the start for this 2022 forward/center.
