The Class of 2026 in North Carolina looks to be yet another bright one for the state, as the talent runs deep and the young prospects are shining early on the big stage.  One prospect that we have our eyes on early and see a bright future as he continues to develop is 2026 6'8 Rivers Knight.

This past season at Jordan Knight had a solid start to his high school career in which he averaged 9.4ppg, 6.1rpg, and 1.7bpg, while also shooting 40 percent from the floor and 33 percent from three.' Very good numbers from the rising big, and getting another chance to watch him start the season, one can see that this may just be the start.

Knight displayed the tools, the IQ and feel, the skillset, and the potential that could make him a big target in the coming years. A player of his size, Knight displayed such a tremendous feel from multiple levels, whether it was his ability to stretch the court with a fluid release or his impact and feel in the paint, the forward can hurt you in a variety of ways. He also has a tremendous knack and touch on the boards, carving out space and having good instincts.

His touch, vision, and polished feel for someone at his age are impressive, which is why so many are excited about what he ultimately could be, especially as he continues to develop and add more. From what we have seen though early on, Knight is one that should be monitored in a big way.

What Has Been Said:

'From what we saw on the court from Knight, the future looks extremely bright for him and should get you excited about what he could ultimately be at the end of his HS career. Knight has one of the best releases and shots as a big man here in North Carolina; great touch and feel for the game that allows him to operate from so many levels. But he continues to display his impact on the boards and around the paint.'

'There's an array of enticing big men in the freshman class, and Rivers Knight is certainly within that grouping. His feel, coordination, and general work ethic are extremely rare for a player of his size and age. Knight is the only freshman on the Jordan roster, yet already conducts himself as a high-level player. He's their leading shot-blocker while ranking second in rebounds and fourth in scoring. Knight has notched multiple double-doubles this season, but should gradually become a guy who does that on a nightly basis. He possesses touch, footwork, and positioning around the basket, but can also space the floor at a very respectable rate. Expect him to only get better going forward.'
