Looking for Respect and Offers
6’3 ’18 Isaac Suffren

Isaac Suffren has enjoyed an outstanding senior campaign and his play at the Chick Fil A Classic has proved why he should be a high priority among mid-major schools. Suffren is an intense competitor who plays with toughness, grit, and sense of purpose. He has shown consistently the ability to be an effective on-ball defender along with impeccable instincts for rebounding. He has constantly rebounded at a high level, especially for his size and position. Suffren simply has a nose for the ball and his terrific feel for the game allows him to play much bigger and taller than his listed height. In our opinion, his game reminds us of Southern Conference All-Conference player Devin Sibley of Furman, but not quite as long.

At the Chick Fil A, Suffren has used the court at Richland Northeast has his own personal playground. In the opening round 86-74 win over Westside, Suffren scored 24 points, collected five rebounds, dished out two assists and had one steal. His game was pure and efficient. He also went 9-15 from the floor including 2-4 from the free throw line, not to mention 4-6 from the free throw line.

In the second-round matchup against nationally ranked and undefeated Cox Mill, Suffren was again instrumental in Providence Day’s impressive 63-52 win. If you thought his game was good against Westside, his play against Cox Mill was simply superb. He finished with 24 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. Suffren went 9-13 from the floor including 4-7 from the 3-point line and a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line. However, his biggest play came on the defensive end of the court when Cox Mill was making a serious run and he took a “big time” charge on a transition break. In our opinion, that was the turning point in the game.

So far in the two games at the Chick Fil A against high-level competition, Suffren has averaged 24 PPG and 9.5 RPG. He is shooting 64% from the floor (18-28), 54.5% from the 3-point line (6-11) and 75% from the free throw line (6-8). We have always had the common thought that if you continuously play at a high level against high major talent, that should indicate one should be mentioned in somewhat the same conversation. For us, Isaac Suffren can be a productive and effective mid-major prospect. His play speaks for itself. All he is asking for is respect and offers!

Today was another perfect example why he should be a high priority for mid-major schools. We’re talking about a tough, physical wing guard that plays with grit and determination. He is constantly making things happen on both ends of the court. In the game vs. Westside, Suffren finished with 24 points and collected five rebounds.
