2027 Jackson Terrell (Middleton Hoops)
Terrell is an intriguing forward for Middleton, and I could see him showing up on more college coaches’ radars with his play. He has good size at 6’7, moves well, excels on the glass and being active, operates strong in the post as well as pick-and-roll situations, and runs the floor overall well. He has a polished overall feel that allows him to score inside and out, as he should garner more eyes this summer.
2027 Bryce Ward (Middleton Hoops)
Ward is another prospect for Middleton that I’ve really enjoyed watching in the last month. I knew what he brought to the court but he has only continued to excel with his overall game and presence. He is a tough, scrappy guard that competes on both sides of the ball, using his quickness to be a pest defensively and really creating havoc for opponents. Offensively, he uses that same speed to attack by defenders, scores well over defenders at his size, and has good overall range with his shot.
2027 Tyce Curtis (Sewer South)
Curtis was one I was intrigued to see with Sewer South; he has good size as a guard at 6’4, he is comfortable in a variety of roles for his team and plays with a tremendous toughness that you have to love. Curtis did a good job in attacking and creating, using his athleticism to his advantage to get to the rim and finishing strong, or pulling up to knock down shots. He showed flashes of his ability to take over game, but also gets others involved. Right now, he holds on D1 offer but could see that increasing this summer.
2027 Thomas Vickery (Upward Stars)
Might have been my favorite player to watch and learn about from this class, as Vickery clearly put his name as one to watch. I was so impressed with his overall impact on the court, surprising you with how bouncy he was with his athleticism, finishing at the rim, and displaying tremendous body control. But he is comfortable in so many other areas with his shot-making, his range, his IQ and feel, and impact in other areas. Vickery is a player that many may not know about yet, but I believe this is going to be a breakout summer if he plays like he did at the event.
2027 Josiah Johnson-Freeman (Team United)
Had been a minute since watching Johnson-Freeman in action, so I was eager to see more of his development. He looks bigger and stronger, and he was able to flourish in several ways on the court at the event. He is a strong shot-maker with his jumper and pull-up game, can flourish in catch-and-shoot situations, but is also one that uses his length well. He showed that he can be an effective and efficient player for his team offensively.
2027 Drew Neve (Riptide)
Neve is one that you just enjoy watching with how hard he competes and his overall motor. Though he may be slightly undersized at his position, this is a young man that works hard, battles and embraces physicality, and does a great job in bringing production to the table. Neve scores well inside and out, rebounds hard, and just does what is needed for his team to win games; you have to love a player like that on the court.
2027 Kasyn Chase (Team Trezz)
Chase put on some impressive shows at the event, including a 37-point outburst to help lead his team. He did a great job in attacking downhill and using his speed to his advantage. He impacted the game in several areas, looked to be aggressive with his offensive game, knocked down shots from a variety of areas, and simply looked to be the go-to offensive option for his team time after time.
