The Winter Nationals with Phenom Hoops is one of the best events to start the season because we not only kick off the travel ball season in a big way, but we also get a chance to see the future around the country. So many players came through the doors this past weekend and left a lasting impression, as we dive in and break down many of their games.

Heading over to the Lady Phenom side, we wanted to point out one of the top prospects we saw at Winter Nationals in 2030 Heavenly Craig for Wilkes Hoop Group. Again, it took all but five or so minutes to understand that she was one of the top players on the court, and her game continued to grow on us the more we watched her operate.

She showcased an elite feel as a guard at her age, not yet playing at the high school level but showing she could have an impact on the court. Craig was off the charts as a playmaker with the ball in her hands; she was crafty and creative, had defenders guessing all the time, she was terrific in her change of direction, and her ability to be a strong finisher was impressive. Craig finished with touch around the basket, consistently finding ways to get inside the defense or out in transition to score.  But she clearly had proven she is a three-level scorer with a fluid release, got to her spots, and scored from all areas of the court.

She was quite impressive each time we watched her, as Craig put her name on our watch list for the coming years and should be a name college coaches check out soon.

What Was Said:
