2027 CJ Rosser (Northern Nash)
Coming in as a Top 5 talent in the country by nearly all outlets, Rosser was the go-to option in this game as he finished with an impressive 27 points for Northern Nash. From when we first viewed him as a freshman at Nash to where he is today, one can see that Rosser has improved drastically and truly understands what he is capable of bringing to the table. Early on, he showed his improvement from behind the arc hitting multiple threes at 6’9. He has really become a confident presence in stretching the floor and knocking down shots from behind the arc consistently. But he continued to excel in using his fluidity, length, athleticism, and overall skillset to get up and down the court, attack the basket and finish, and have a strong presence on either end of the court. Again though, you can see his improvement in his game but what continues to make him so scary is he may just be scratching the surface of what he could be as he continues to develop and get stronger.
2028 Brelyn Moses (Rocky Mount)
We just watched Moses in action the other week as he is going to be a name you hear a lot in the Class of 2028 here in North Carolina. There is a lot to like about this young man with his 6’5 frame to go along with his strength. Though this wasn’t the best of days for the young man, he was able to shine in a variety of ways. Moses continues to be an absolute force off the bounce and finding ways to attack the basket, finishing tough shots inside and through contact. He is at his best when getting downhill and he will look to continue to expand more of his game from the perimeter. He also made smart plays in finding the open spot and dishing to his teammates, showing good awareness as well.
Other Prospects:
Northern Nash:
Christian Barnes finished with 14 points, while Quay Williams had 12 points in the win
Rocky Mount:
2028 Semaj Parker continues to be one that I’ve liked when watching him play, and should be a name to learn more about in the Class of 2028. He finished with 14 points. Anthony Jones was strong and active once again, leading the way with 18 points.
