Coach: Trenton Hancock

#13: 5’3 ’30 Gavin Edwards (Rogers)

First up, Gavin Edwards is a 5-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2030. Despite being the smallest and youngest camper on this team, he found ways to make his presence felt within the flow of the action. The next step in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing player. Coach Hancock on Edwards: “Gavin is a decent ball-handler who gives good effort on the court. Youngest guy on our team. Needs to sharpen IQ to avoid turnovers but displays solid awareness in most areas.” Edwards enjoyed a solid showing at camp and will be a player to watch progress going forward.

#30: 5’4 ’29 Kameron Hill (Immaculate Heart of Mary)

Next, Kameron Hill is a 5-foot-4 prospect in the Class of 2029. He displayed solid shooting prowess but was arguably at his best when getting downhill and applying pressure as a penetrating threat. The next step in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a better finisher around the basket. Coach Hancock on Hill: “Kameron has a great attitude and accepts coaching well. Needs to work on his awareness as an all-around defender, as he can lose his focus at times. Crafty with the ball and aggressive when attacking. Scores the ball at a solid rate. Willing passer.” Hill made a nice impact at camp and has the tools to continue progressing over the coming years.

The next step in his development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. Coach Hancock on Warren: “Logan possesses a great feel for the game. Leads by example and was the best player on our team. Very poised. Can score the ball with efficiency from all three levels. Could improve his change of pace but still finds ways to get where he wants off the bounce.” Warren proved to be one of the top performers at camp and should only continue to produce going forward.

Next, Blake Reinhardt-Hull is a 5-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2029. He made a lasting impression through his nonstop motor and unselfish approach to the game. The next step in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Hancock on Reinhardt-Hull: “Blake brings consistent energy to both ends of the floor. He has a tendency to play too fast at times, but looks to do whatever is needed for the team. Decent ball-handler who didn’t appear uncomfortable handling the ball against pressure.” Reinhardt-Hull made his presence felt during camp and will be a player to watch closely over the foreseeable future.

Coach Hancock on Gekler: “Colton has a really good attitude and accepts coaching well. He’s still just scratching the surface and needs to continue compiling in-game reps. Sometimes ball-watches instead of moving without the ball. Got more aggressive as the day carried on.” Gekler provided nice effort during his time at camp and will be a player to watch grow going forward.

#88: 5’9 ’29 Max Williams (Davidson)

The next step in his development process sis working on getting quicker, as it would make him a better defender at the point of attack. Coach Hancock on Williams: “Max has a good feel for the game. Needs to work on making decisions quicker, as the ball can stick at times. Max can also work on refining his shot mechanics for a more fluid shooting motion. Could improve his lateral quickness and change of pace with the ball.” Williams did a lot of things well during camp and has the tools to trend upward over the coming years.

#89: 5’9 ’29 Porter Rakes (Winkler)

Next, Porter Rakes is a 5-foot-9 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s a scrappy guard who displays solid vision and the ability to make plays within the flow of the action. The next step in his development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make him a more dynamic threat off the bounce. Coach Hancock on Rakes: “Porter needs to work on being more aggressive on both ends of floor. Has some solid tools but needs to play harder and sharpen his overall feel for the game. Decent passing skills but should continue to grow his all-around skillset.” Rakes enjoyed a nice showing at camp and will be a player to watch progress going forward.

Next, Luke Newman is a 6-foot-0 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s a smart, skilled guard who knows how to impact the game with or without the ball in his hands. The next step in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing player. Coach Hancock on Newman: “Luke is a good player. Crafty with the ball and able to create for himself and others off the dribble. Much better hitting shots off the bounce than off the catch. Aggressive on offense. I would like to see him refine his shooting mechanics for a smoother release point.” Newman proved to be an asset during camp and will be a player to watch closely going forward.

#145: 6’3 ’29 Graeme Roland (Grace Christian)

Next, Graeme Roland is a 6-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2029. In addition to his size and feel, he displayed a reliable floor-spacing presence along the perimeter. The next step in his development process is working on getting quicker, as it would make him a better defender when switching onto smaller guards. Coach Hancock on Roland: “Graeme has a nice touch on his midrange shot and has the ability to knock down an open three-pointer if necessary. Needs to improve his rebounding presence at his size. Can work on boxing out and increasing his physicality. Solid passer and a useful hub to run offense through.” Roland made a nice impact at camp and has the tools to continue progressing over the coming years.
