12:00 pm – Concord Academy vs. Watauga (Girls)
Starting the day, two of the top prospects went at it between 2028 Justice Alexander and 2025 Kate Sears and both performed well. It was a tight battle early on, with Concord Academy holding the narrow 16-14 lead after one, and eventually expanding on that at halftime leading 30-23. Both teams continued to battle but Concord Academy maintained its lead throughout. It was the trio of Alexander, Taylor Smith, and Jayla Brower who combined for 69 of the team’s 71 points for Concord Academy and that was all they needed.
Final: Concord Academy 71 – Watauga 56
CA: Taylor Smith 27pts, Justice Alexander 23pts, Jayla Brower 18pts
Watauga: Kate Sears 23pts, Blair Haines 16pts
12:30 pm – Hunter Huss vs. Queens Grant (Aux Gym)
A very interesting contest to start the day in the Aux gym, as Hunter Huss and Queens Grant looked to get on the winning page Saturday afternoon. It was a strong game when it comes to guard play, as both teams traded blows early on. Shots started to fall for both teams, as 2028 Jaleel Smith led the way for Hunter Huss. But Ian Howard, and the size of 2028 Chase Smith and 2027 Cannon DeBerry helped Queens Grant secure a halftime lead. The offense continued to pick up in the second half, as we had a back-and-forth show in the second half. Queens Grant brought a balanced attack overall, eventually helping secure the 81-60 victory.
Final: Queens Grant 81 – Hunter Huss 60
QG: Mekhi Allen 20pts, Ian Howard 19pts, Chase Smith 17pts
HH: Jaleel Smith 23pts, Zaiyir Phillips 15pts

Second game of the day, two talented teams went to battle between Lake Norman and Mallard Creek, both of which have the talent to make a deep run. Lake Norman was able to jump out to the early 14-9 lead after the first quarter, but opened it up big time in the second quarter, eventually leading 35-19. Mallard Creek got things going in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 46-35. But the offensive firepower from Alexis Shehan, Ryana Minad, and Kelsey Rhyne were too much in the end. 2025 Elle Stone led the way for Mallard Creek with 16 points.
