What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:
“Thomas, ranked as one of the top prospects at the camp, proved why he is so electric on the court. He is an immediate offense weapon when he steps on the court. His ability to create, keep defenders guessing, use his shiftiness to get defenders off balance, and his change of speed is fun to watch, all of which allows him to score from all three levels. But his offensive scoring isn’t the only thing that shines in his game, as he displayed excellent full-court vision, energy to attack the boards, and was vocal on defense. Thomas proved he is a tremendous competitor on the court.” – NBPA Top 100 in 2024

What Does This Mean for Arkansas:
It came down to three between Arkansas, Pittsburgh, and UConn, with the Razorbacks ultimately winning the prize with his talent. He now joins Top-25 prospect Darius Acuff in giving Arkansas two big-time talents for the future, and that doesn’t mention who else may be joining them. But Arkansas has a big-time duo in PG Acuff and SG Thomas, both of which can fill it up and should find quick success at the next level.
Every time we watch Thomas in action, he shows that he can be an instant scorer on the court. He has a great feel for creating, showcasing shiftiness, and can make tough shots look easy; he plays with a ton of confidence and sometimes makes things look easy. Thomas has polished handles, good athleticism, attacks in the open floor, and can clearly be a scorer from multiple levels. With his talent going to Arkansas, Thomas should quickly be able to make his mark with the program and bring production early as a freshman.
